Opinionslop

Opinion slop is when someone says something that doesn't really have any substantial value to the conversation at hand. It's essentially just there to cover a little edge case. Or most likely to perform as a gotcha to the person who said the original opinion being responded to. This is opinion slop because it largely doesn't actually matter that much on who's holding the opinion. The opinion holder might not even believe or care about what they're saying all that much because of that key point I said earlier. It's just a gotcha. It's something to point out a hole or to poke a hole in an otherwise pretty sound like other opinion. And otherwise it's largely pointless. Now, not everyone has this sort of thing. There are some people who love spouting opinion slop. There are others who never spout opinion slop. But I will say one thing that is almost universally true. If you go in any comment section of any short form app, it is almost full of opinion slop. And it's even worse, it's a different type of opinion slop. It's either misinformed opinion slop, blatantly wrong opinion slop, or it didn't watch the video and doesn't know what they're talking about. Opinion slop. And this is no disrespect to anyone who's watching to this point, because you're obviously not the problem and I specifically think you are an awesome person. This isn't parasocial.
