In my last video I shared all things crimping beads 101 and said I would cover crimp covers next. This video I'm going to share three things to know about crimp covers. Number one is to match the size to your crimp bead. Usually 1-2mm larger. If it's too small, it won't close and if it's too big, then it will look really bulky. Number two is don't squeeze it flat. The goal of the crimp cover is to make it look like a smooth round bead, not a flattened oval. And number three is that they are decorative, not structural. So make sure that your crimp bead is super secure before you put this over it. If the crimp isn't properly formed, then the cover won't fix it, it'll just hide it.
