So she claims that copper peptides or GHK-CU, in just three months have given her miraculous results. I'm a derm in my mid 40s, may or may not be using some of these copper peptides. I recently did a deep dive on peptides and read several studies on copper peptides. Let me give you three mistakes and three things you absolutely have to know before buying these. First of all, yes, she's not wrong. GHK-CU, also called the copper peptide, is one of my favorite collagen-supporting ingredients. Second, don't buy this expecting Botox-like results in like two weeks. Copper peptides work by supporting collagen production, and that takes time. We're talking 8 to 12 weeks, not overnight. Third, and the most important, copper peptide does not replace your Vitamin C, your sunscreen. Copper peptides can be added to those ingredients. So if you're already using my three non-negotiables, topical Vitamin C, sunscreen in the morning, and retinoid at night, then copper peptides are my favorite next ingredient to add. PM only. Copper to retinoid. And never ever layer your copper peptides with Vitamin C, because they interact. You wanna apply it to clean skin in the evening with retinoid on top. Those are perfectly fine to layer. And I did an entire peptide school series explaining where exactly copper peptides fit into an anti-aging and where exactly you would use the other peptides like your Argireline and Matrixyl. Make sure you check out the caption below for more details.
