Me and the mini got out this weekend to attend the Second Service Pop-up that featured upcycle designers and I was SOOO impressed! 😍 when we talk about different things to do in Ghana, this is what we mean! You haven't witnessed ingenuity until you've met a talented black person. And now imagine an entire room full of them, okay? And as a girly who likes to thrive, baby, I was in heaven. Of course, I had my mini with me who's a budding psychotherapist herself. No one told me that moving to Ghana, I would find an entire community of people just like me. Like, what? Oh, and if you're new here, I'm Jam. I'm just a woman who moved to Ghana after coming from her girl's wedding and I never went back home. Yes. And that friend. Best forward to a year later, and I'm still building community and helping other people out there just like me find their perfect home in Ghana too. Back to the good. Y'all, I attended Second Service Pop Up over this past weekend, which is the pop-up shop that features some of our cross finest upcyclers. And if you don't know what upcycling is, let me go ahead and put you on. Upcycling is basically when you take old, discarded or recycled items and you turn them into something new, better, or just like, chef's kiss like this. It can be clothes, furniture, whatever. Like, y'all, this is designer level. Do you see it? And this pop-up shop featured so many creative and beautiful souls, like y'all won't believe. Of course, your girl picked up a couple of items and I added a few to my wish list because let's not get crazy now, okay? We've got a budget. I've got my eye on a couple of custom pieces and I'll for sure be at the next one because, listen, your girl needs to be dipped in that one-on-one personal style.
