Coming into sales

Coming into sales and specifically the life insurance industry. Here are some things that I wish I had known prior to getting started. First, I wish I understood the difference between captive and a broker. Second, I wish compensation matters. If anybody tells you compensation doesn't matter, they don't care because compensation is how you get paid. The third thing I understood was training leading and developing. I wish I, at 19 years old, I could train and develop as much as I wanted to, but I had to do just the same before that. So if you're in the life insurance industry and you're tethering on these thoughts, they're normal roadblocks for people to bump into before getting started, but just understand where you're at, feel really good about where you're going and understand you to give up get there and that's the best part of the ride.
