Most Door Dashers would take a twelve dollar order for five miles in a heartbeat. And honestly, so... But there's one thing that would make me decline it. Not the tip. Because twelve dollars for five miles looks good, right? Well, here's what doing DoorDash for almost eight years. A good looking profitable order are not the same thing. You what I mean. You accept that. You drive to the restaurant and they say, the ticket to be about 10 to 15 minutes. I have a decision to make. Cause that 12 looks so good across your screen is now eating until your hourly. You've already spent time driving to. Now you waiting 15 minutes for the order and you still have to drive to the customer, still complete the order. And depending on where that customer lives, you might have to drive all the way back before you can catch another order. That $12 order can easily take 30 to 45 minutes of your whole hour. I could have taken a $5 order that took me seven minutes to complete and then turned around and took another $10 order that maybe took me another 8 minutes to complete. Why I told Dashers to stop. I'm looking at the restaurant, the miles. I'm looking at the time it's gonna take me, it leaving me so that I can catch another order. And I'm looking at what this order is doing to my entire hour. Because sometimes the order that looks like the better order is actually costing you more. That's the difference between just accepting DoorDash orders and having a DoorDash strategy. My name is Terran like Karen with just a little differently, for those of you who don't know me. And I help DoorDashers gain clarity on their emotions. I'll see you tomorrow. Peace.
