From there, the fractures spread outward in uneven rings while long cracks radiate from the center. As the break expands, the shards generally become larger the farther they are from the impact. The detail that really sells the illusion is the double stroke. Glass has thickness. By drawing both the front and back edges of each shard, you instantly communicate that it’s transparent.
