WELCOME TO DAY

Welcome to day 1 of Mayo International Kite Festival on Achill Island. Lie, it was magical. Craic and all I heard was laughter. There's many adults holding up the there was children. The sky was full of small kites. The backdrop for the gigantic kites, depending on which way you're looking was Munaun Cliffs or Slievemore. Things you see but it's so hard to describe how amazing it thing about Keel Lake is it was thousands of people but there was so much room. Found their little spots and stayed there for like a little base. If you are coming tomorrow for day two, make sure to bring your chairs, your picnic blanket. Stay there and take it all in and have fun. There is so much to do. Music from the stage and always there's a little workshop where kids own kites and decorate them. Face painting, volleyball. You're thirsty? You can grab a of the sponsors. You're hungry. There's coffee trucks. Guarantee you will not get bored because you're gonna be having so much fun. Also rent an electric bike. Go on one. It was quite fun. Plenty of parking across the road on the sandy banks. Don't worry if you don't have a ticket because you can pay when you arrive to Achill. Always bring clothes for any weather. Maybe a hoodie, sunglasses, sunscreen. Most importantly, a battery pack or I guarantee ya you're gonna be of pictures and if you want, one down below.
