Here's how I would spend 24 hours in Sligo. Starting your morning in Shells Cafe. This is the best place to go for a coffee, for breakfast. They have such a community feel here, a lovely gift shop. It's just such good vibes. The best thing about Sligo is its unique landscapes and there's so many places that you can see to explore this. I love the Devil's Chimney. I also adore Knocknarea where Queen Maeve is said to be buried upright staring at her enemies. Then Bulben and the Gleniff Horseshoe are bursting with mythology. They literally feel like they've been plucked out of a fairy tale. I also love Mullaghmore. You can swim at the Bishop's Pool and have stunning views across to Classy Barn Castle. You'll surely be hungry by now, so head to Foam in Sligo town. This is such a hidden gem. It's such a great cafe and the food here is honestly delicious. After that, wrap up your day by heading to The Hot Box Sauna in Rosses Point where they have two saunas, a cold plunge and of course, it's beside the sea. Alternatively, head to Strandhill for a surfing lesson with Rebelle Surf, located right beside the National Surf Centre. Finish out the perfect day in one of my favourite restaurants in Strandhill, Stoked. It's a great pub downstairs or you could head to Lillie's, Thomas Connollys or McLynns for a cocktail, a pint or a pub session. What's your favourite thing to see do or eat in Sligo?
