This company needs a fuel that's abundant on the moon but almost nowhere on Earth. So instead, they figured out how to grow their own. It's called Helium 3. The moon has been collecting it from solar wind for billions of years, but Earth's atmosphere just lets it drift away. So there's almost none of it here. Here's why this matters. Most fusion reactors run on tritium that reaction releases neutrons, which makes heat, which boils water, which spins a turbine, losing energy at every step. A company called Helion skips all of that. Their fuel is deuterium and Helium 3, which produces charged particles. They convert electricity. No steam, no turbines. The catch was always the fuel. So instead of mining the moon, a company builds a machine that grows its own supply while it runs. Deuterium atoms collide, and half the time makes Helium 3 directly. The other half makes tritium, which decays into Helium 3 on its own. Helion filters it, stores it, and feeds it back in.
