What Chick-fil-A understands that others don't. Well, Chick-fil-A pays 8% over minimum wage. When you first start off, they work in the least desired sector. No one wants to work. They work in sector, and yet they one of the highest performing across staff across the United States. They have lower retention than most companies, most businesses outside of the restaurant industry because because they have belonging, because have structure, because have purpose. The structure matters. When they go in, I can't tell when I've done how many times a parent I was in Florida. This mom comes up. She goes, "My son went into drugs, flunking out of, he got a job at Chick-fil-A, turned it around, ended high school, I don't think was gonna happen. He's worked for the city last five years. Couldn't be more proud. I can't tell many times parents came up to me, "My son started doing his chores. He started making his, she started doing, she started getting better grades." These are parents, unsolicited, that come up to me. We work with St. Elmo, 16 restaurant in United States. It's a steakhouse in Indianapolis. The executive chef came up to me. He was like, "If someone applies for a job and worked at Chick-fil-A for one year, I hire them. They've been fully indoctrinated. for That's how much freaking goodwill. That's the impact they have.
