Hook
I imagine sitting there enjoying your happy meal and your mother is projecting her food guilt onto you. This aggravating voice projecting her hatred of weight gain onto you. Why would you post this on the internet? I just don't understand. As someone who struggled with disordered eating especially growing up, one of my greatest fears is accidentally saying something that might come off as insensitive to anyone. Let alone my child. Let alone my child. It is actually insane. I cannot believe that. And you know what? I actually feel bad for the mother because she must likely has an ED and that was most likely pushed onto her by her own mother. Obviously I wasn't there, I don't know. But the fact that she feels so comfortable to do that in front of her own children without thinking about the implications that kind of tells me that. That's why it's so important that we all break the cycle. We are not our parents for God's sake. Stop giving your children your own traumas. Because let me tell you speaking from experience your daughters will end up hating you. Obviously, let's hope it doesn't get to that point. But that's where it's going to lead if you don't realize what you're doing.
