one of the hottest jobs right now in tech is being an events lead. companies like anthropic and gamma are paying 300 400 k someone who can host memorable events. and this shift is really interesting because obviously AI at least in my head is somewhat the opposite of human connection. but these AI companies are really strategic. they know that as we make the shift people are starting to crave that human connection. and so we're seeing a shift in the skills that are being demanded by AI companies. and I think one of the biggest ones is understanding humans and connection and communication. oops, that's three skills. and to throw these in person events like coffee shop pop-ups, you need to understand what really makes something memorable so that these companies can build lifelong relationships and build community trust. inherently as humans if we're experiencing something positive we might not remember the exact interactions but we'll remember how certain things makes us feel. AI companies want to capitalize on that feeling to build stronger relationships and their reputation. you'll see this shift happening across the board with open AI's merch launch or notion's coffee shop pop-ups. and so it's gonna be really interesting to see how events in tech evolve because I think the fun colorful pop-ups is not just for CPG brands anymore.
