Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
A single $24 receipt posted to TikTok. More damage to the Five Guys brand than any other competitor could. In 2023, somebody posted for a cheeseburger combo. They got it for Five Guys. The internet explodes. And it goes so viral, it becomes a meme. And heck, even Joe Rogan piles on and says that basically, "Five Guys is good, but not $23 hamburger good." Five Guys is a unicorn in the restaurant industry. They'd spent 40 years building a brand that had no advertising. It was entirely based on word of mouth. Heck, they didn't really have an email list at this time. That had been their strength for decades. Their product was so good, it led marketing. People would tell their friends about it. But here the moment that word got out, that was a negative thing for the brand. They had no way to reach their customers and counteract it. This is how no advertising, which had once been a superpower for the brand, became its biggest weakness. And it's up for you to understand what the dark side could be. In this case, Five Guys didn't get it and ended up costing them a lot of money. And that's today why the chain is struggling. I did a full video on the rise and fall of Five Guys and why they're in trouble on my channel. The links below or in my bio page.
