Wendy's hasn't been doing well the last few years, so they tried to convince Wall Street that they were going to become the first AI restaurant. AI taking orders, AI setting the prices, and even using AI to help make the food. But here's the problem: people already weren't going to Wendy's because they thought the food was suffering. They especially didn't want to go if they had to talk to AI agents, and overall sales volume collapsed. In fact, it got so bad they had to undo their dynamic pricing strategy because people were boycotting the stores all across the country.
