This is the closest thing to a cheat code that I've ever found for getting fully booked and I really do think that the hair stylists who do this are undeniably magnetic and I really want the same thing for you guys. In fact, for my own business, I really for so long was wondering why I could not get booked and busy. I had massive gaps on my schedule and I didn't understand why my income was so inconsistent until I stumbled upon consumer psychology. Now, stick with me here because I know that this sounds so boring, but I swear if you implement this, you will get ahead. Consumer psychology is essentially understanding the decisions that people make and why they're making those decisions. If you can do that and put that into your marketing, you are going to get booked and busy. I think that a lot of times are stylist, we assume that people think logically. So if they just see a before and after or gorgeous hair or what we're doing behind the chair, they're going to be like, yes, I need that. But that unfortunately is not how most minds work. We are very emotional beings and we are making emotional decisions well before we ever make a logical decision to buy. Think about this for a second. Have you ever bought something really late at night because you you were like, "Fine, bye." Uh, or you met somebody brand new and you've just instantly been like, "Oh, I like them." That is your emotion and that's how people make so many decisions. So if we can begin to hit on emotions inside of our marketing and inside of our actual salon experience, I think they are going to see that you really do get so many more bookings and get people coming back. Let's talk about how we actually are doing this as hairstylist, how do we create that feeling and these emotions. I think first of all, it starts with your branding and I think a lot of people actually think branding is something that it's not. Um I think that they think that it's just like the imagery that you're putting out into the world. Dude, branding has to do with how you speak, how you actually are like what colors you're using. It has to do with the vibes that you're giving off. There is so much that plays into it. My favorite thing to ask myself for branding is what feeling do I want for my dream client to have when they actually come in, see me, find me, right? Once we know that, we can create the entire brand around that. We really have to give people the feeling and the vibe that they're craving. Actually see this a lot of hair stylist and don't even realize it. For example, I think Ellie Jane Flecher does a phenomenal job of showcasing just like a really, really cozy comforting vibe. You feel like you're just going to be able to relax and be friends when you go in. I think Devin, Black and Beauty does a really great job of being super relatable. She's funny, she's approachable. I think that you just feel connected to her when you see her stuff. There are a lot of other styles who do like a very cool girl vibe and that like it girl vibe. Tons of people who have created these cold like following and these massive brands have this nail down and I think that if you want a brand that is like that, you've got to nail this down too. Drop your questions in the comments and let me know if you guys want a part two. because I think that we could go over so many things.
