A hairstylist's guide to yap content.
It's where everyone and their mother is talking about yapping online.
And I wanna show you guys how I would yap on camera if I were a hair stylist trying to get clients.
The first thing I'm gonna say about this is I do feel like this is a rather untouched area of the market for hairstylist.
So many stylist still are just posting like static images, carousels or voice over videos, which is great.
But if you can be the stylist that shows up and talks like this to the camera, I bet you you are going to come out on top.
But I do wanna make sure that the content actually is good and that it actually does something for the right audience.
Right, because if you got online and you just started yapping about like, hey, this is how I grew my client help, which is awesome by the way.
If you want to educate, go for it, go do that.
But if you do that, it's not going to get clients for you.
Rather, if you show up and you start talking to your dream client, it will work to get clients for you.
First thing that I've actually been telling my students to do for months now that I think is so freaking valuable is showing up online and literally introducing herself.
Example of this would be, hey, if you're looking for someone who actually specializes in making red hair look natural, not like you just got a colored.
Hi, I'm your girl. I'm Shelly and I do hair in Phoenix Arizona.
is some photos of my work. I would love to see you in my chair. Comment below and I'll shoot you a DM with my schedule.
Bro, that's getting people so busy. And it's so basic.
And also have you put out content where you're actually walking people through a consultation.
Literally make a consultation.
Hey, this is my client. This is what she's wanting.
Talk to me, client. What are you afraid of?
Talk to the freaking camera.
Have the client talked to the camera that shit so freaking well.
And I can't even better show the process and show the after.
Like your gold.
I also think showcasing what your clients are great be being at home is huge.
So being able to just be like, hey, here's my three-minute curl routine.
So much fun. All of these can be done by talking to the camera.
Which by the way, is like the fastest type of content to put out there ever.
