These are unhinged ways to get ahead as a hairstylist Part 5. You're gonna have to trust me on this one because it is a little bit insane. That being said, every single time I do this for my own salon, I am floored by the results. I think it leads to a ton of just really cool ass clients and clients who stick around for a very long time. They are loyal as all get out. And I think that it is because of this. You are going to offer completely free blowouts. You heard me right. You're gonna be working for free for some people. Okay, but there are some stipulations. Number one, there is gonna be a time limit. Okay, so you're only gonna offer them for three days, one week, I don't care how long, but make it a very short period of time. Number two, if you already have a clientele and you were just trying to fill some gaps, make a client limit as well. I think that that's really just gonna help with the kind of scarcity of this. Number three, this is for new clients only. I'm sorry to the old clients. That being said, this is seriously something that you wanna do to fill your chair with new people who have never been into you. Now, I really recommend doing this by going to a community forum. You're literally just gonna make a post and say something along the lines of hi, I'm Shelby. I'm a hair stylist in X area, and I'm offering free blowouts for the next week as a thank you to this amazing community. I love all the women here and I would love to really be able to just have you come in and pamper you for the day. If you're interested, comment below and I will send you the link to get booked. The comments are going to help boost your little post in that algorithm wherever you're posting it at, you'll send them a link to book. A free blowout offer so that they can just book it themselves. Then when they come in, you have two jobs. Job number one, give them the best goddamn service they have ever had in their life. You're gonna take your time, you're gonna give it a guest experience that is unreal. You're gonna make them feel incredible. Number two, I really, really recommend before this person comes in, actually sending them an add on service menu, just being like, hey dude, so excited for your free blowout. If you're interested, I just wanted to shoot over some fun little services that we can always add on. If not, no worries. Give the option. Do not make it salesy. Just send it, see what they say. Think you're gonna be shocked to find how many clients this leads to and how much money you actually make from this. People leave amazing tips during this.
