I haven’t done one of these in a minute so here we go- my favorite tried and tried What is one fun fact about you? Oh, I am always in a funk. Really great upside to this is I have crafted and come up with some of the most unique and niche ways to get out of a funk that are not walking and not journaling, no borax, no glue. There is nothing worse than someone sitting you down and being like, just go for a walk or take out your journaling when you're in the craziest of your life. Let's get into it. Okay, first thing on this list is something I've talked about so many times. This is the funk girl shower. It's basically do like an abbreviated five minute shower. I do not wash my hair or anything. I usually will lock in, like a new scented body wash, something that brings me like a little whimsy and joy. Put my pajamas on and literally sit on the couch or sit in bed with my hair twisted towel. There's something about this shower that's like super quick, you get out of the way, you feel clean, you feel refreshed, you got a good scent on and it's everything to me. Like I love a funk girl shower. Thing that has always gotten me out of a funk is BBP, a big bowl of pasta. You guys know, I'm always in a funk. I think we underestimate the importance of like a lot of carbs and like comfort food when you're feeling off. I need to be sat on my couch with the biggest bowl of carbs you have ever seen. Not about how many grams of protein it's how many grams of carbs do I have more to be completely honest. Next up, I think this is so important. Honestly, one of my favorite things on the list whenever I'm feeling off in general, is literally scheduling my rot nights. Rot nights where you literally do absolutely nothing, lock into a TV show, a bunch of carbs, like order cookies, whatever it is. Are literally the best. Clear your calendar for three to four nights every single week for two weeks. Plan your rot nights. I do this all the time. I'll literally add to do list, like things that I'm doing, what I'm watching, what I'm ordering, what desserts I'm having. Like make it a thing. It should be a thing. This is the most important part of your day to be completely honest, especially when you're in a funk. And I know this one sounds like journaling, but it's not because you're writing it in your notes app. You literally get to create a looking forward to list. This is a list of just like little things that you're looking forward to for the week. It can be getting your favorite coffee order, going to your favorite takeout, literally your rot night. That could be on your looking forward to list. Last but not least, one of my favorite things in my notes app is I will literally include things that I have to do, things going on, appointments, whatever, and I will literally sit every single Sunday and write down my rot night itinerary. I plan those out. I'll write down what shows are coming out this week, movies, whatever that I'm looking forward to. And I will literally plan those ahead. And then I also will put things from my homework assignment series. If you tap into that series at all, literally little things that I'm doing for more whimsy and joy. Revamp your to-do list. Make it actually fucking fun. God forbid a to-do list brings you like a morsel, a tiny little breadcrumb of joy. We might be in a funk. We might be feeling off, but at least we're in this shit together to be completely honest. We might be feeling off, but at least we're in this shit together. You know, it's not for everybody, but if you're going through a period where you're like, oh my gosh, I am feeling so off. I'm telling you, watch your comfort TV show, watch Gilmore Girls, watch a funny show. Wake up 30 minutes to an hour earlier and give yourself time to have a slow down morning routine with your favorite TV show, a cup of coffee and literally some serotonin. You guys know I have like the best morning routine ever, not to flex too hard because I watch two to three hours every single day before work. It is my pride and joy. It has been for the past 15 years. It is everything to me. My day is ruined if I don't have this.
