The receptionist at my eye doctor's office got fired👀

One thing you should know about me, I'm no narc. If I see somebody commit a crime, I don't... I didn't see shit. That's between you and God. I'm pretty sure the receptionist at my eye appointment place, uh, got fired. And she may or may not have been running a little side hustle up there. I don't know. I can't help but feel a little bit guilty for that because I may or may not have contributed to that little hustle of hers. What happened was, I've been a patient there for nine years. I go every year and get my annual eye exam so I can get my contacts. I wear dailies, so they come in like three months supply boxes. I can make that usually lasts for like six months because I wear them for multiple days at a time. Anyway, it doesn't matter. What matters was the boxes were very expensive. They were like $160, $180 a box for three months. And I was always bitching to her. I'm like, damn, inflation on our contacts. Right? She goes, yeah, baby, you'd be surprised how many people walk out of here now being able to get contacts. I'm like, damn, the struggle is real. I get it. She goes, you got Cash App or Venmo? I said, I got both. She said, let me order these for you. You can send me the Venmo. You can get them at cost. Baby girl, God bless you. We were doing this for three years. Instead of it being like $130 a box, I was paying $65. Yesterday, I went to go make an appointment to go get my annual eye exam. I haven't had contacts in like two months. And I called her, I was like, where's Sheila? They go, oh, sorry, she doesn't work here anymore. I said, what? She's been working there for like 20 years. She goes, and unfortunately, she's no longer here with us. I said, did she pass away? She said, no, she got let go. Let go? I tried to press her on answers, but she wouldn't tell me anything. I'm just a nosy bitch. I said, you know what? I'm gonna get a call right for work. I'll call you back later. AKA bitch, I'm going to another optometrist. I only go there to support my girl, get my discount. But anyways, I was on her like, you know, in Venmo, you can see people's transactions history. The last time that I was on there, I was like, scroll and contact, contact, contact, contact. She was doing the Lord's work. She's Robin Hood. Anyways, I hope she's doing great.
