I really thought I'd seen all on here. I just came from a post where people were talking about the craziest shit that they've sued people over and won. So what did I do? I was in that comment section for hours, screenshotting all my favorite comments. So if you need some ideas, this is me paying it forward. Let's get into it. Starting off the list strong, we have. When I was a paralegal, I got paid overtime on Thursdays to go to a bar where a client fell and watch how many other people fell. I did this for six weeks. Three people fell. The client got SO MUCH MONEY. Paralegal here, Outback is known for their slippery floors. My husband and I sued Wendy's cause one of the employees put hot sauce in the ketchup, when we called to ask why our burgers were super fucking spicy, we could hear the manager yelling through the kitchen, "WHO SPiked the ketchup again?!" We had it all on recording, our lawyers jaw dropped when we played it for him. My friend got into a fight at the bar and sued the bar and he got $250,000. Crazy. I slipped and fell at the mall because they didn't have a wet floor sign and bruised my knee. They settled for 10K lmfaooooo. One of my neighbors has sued the same ShopRite twice. Paid off his house. Still goes to that ShopRite for his groceries. Sue'd my hospital bc my anesthesiologist was 5 hours late and epidural failed on one side of my body...i own land now 😂😂😂. Parents sued my dentist when I was 12. I'm 32 now and still have that money 💸🤷♀️. Paid for college, first home, cars, etc. Last week I was on an American flight and the overhead cabins opened during landing, a suitcase fell out and hit a lady in the arm... she started crying and had an ambulance meet her at the gate.. I was low key jealous.. I can only imagine how much she's going to get out of it. If you fall in a store immediately get their sweep logs because 9/10 they aren't filled correctly and usually that's an automatic win lol. I worked at Sam's Club in 2008 and management taped a grape on the break room door every day for THREE MONTHS bc a lady fell on a grape and they settled for 30k. The sharpie sign said "I don't care if it's your job or not. If you see a grape on the floor PICK IT UP. This grape cost us $30,000." My grandma was walking down the street (in her Brooklyn neighborhood) and witnessed an accident between a car and a city bus. She climbed in the back seat of the car and was taken in the ambulance. She supposedly won more money than the ppl actually in the accident 😂. I've seen videos of people doing that and I've wondered if anybody's ever done it. But anyway, moving on. The next one says, my stepmom was pregnant and she slipped on a small patch of water at Target and they paid her $20k to not sue. Mind you she never even made contact with the ground, she just slipped but caught herself. A girl I used to be friends with "fell" in a grocery store, threatened to sue, and they gave her $2500 in store credit to not sue and sign an NDA. As a paralegal I saw a workers comp payout because the worker opened the staff fridge and a milk didn't have a top on it and some splash in her eye. What? I have one! Whole Foods had to pay out because my boss scratched his forehead on a display 😎😎. I work in HR, used to work for Burger King. An employee sued us for age discrimination after her manager said "it's fast food not slow food" to their staff (employee in question was in their 60's). They won. My mom hit a pothole in a Dairy Queen parking lot and it "messed her alignment up" so she sued and got 3k. Damn. These are wild. If you need some ideas, save this for later. Alright, I gotta go my business. I'll call you back later. Bye.
