Today is my mom's birthday. She would have been 78. She died when she was 63. She took her life after complications of a strange diagnosis that honestly felt like it came out of the blue, and a lot of miscommunication from doctors and a lot of heartache on my dad and my family. So my mom was diagnosed with bipolar in her prime menopause and perimenopause years. And my family really didn't know what was going on. I think nobody did at that time. This was mid 2000s when people weren't really talking about hormonal health like they are now. So on her birthday, I've built a little wellspring. It's nothing fancy, it's a Google Sheet, but it's a resource of all types of recommendations for women's hormonal health. So if you're going through perimenopause or menopause or endometriosis or infertility, there is a place that can exist for you to get resources and help and feel not so isolated in such a siloed time in someone's life. And it's a living, breathing thing. So if you have things to contribute to this wellspring, I would be honored to add them. I've included some testimonies and anecdotes from women who have shared, um, on social media since I've kind of started posting about this. But I thought it'd be a way to honor my mom and her spirit. She was just such a beautiful soul. And I know that if the information we knew now, back then was around She wouldn't have done what she did. But my hope is this can find the right people. If you are going through it, I am with you. I hear you. I'm sending you a big heart. And we'll see you again soon.
