When people make takes regarding boycotting certain brands, I fear we tend to forget that in a lot of cases boycotting CAN be a pretty big privilege to have. I'm not defending Nestle in any way because they're a piece of shit company who SHOULD be boycotted, however Nestle owns a LOT of companies that stock our shelves. They own EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING OWNED BY Nestle BABY BOTTLED WATER CEREAL COFFEE CULINARY, CHILLED, AND FROZEN FOOD DAIRY DRINKS FOOD SERVICE HEALTH CARE AND HEALTH NUTRITION ICE CREAM PET CARE avoiding all of these things at once can become extremely tricky, who are on a tight budget. you're on a tight budget, sometimes finding better alternatives can get expensive, and not everyone can afford that. but on top of everything sitting there and doubling down on and calling everyone fat because they quote unquote "can't put down the Kit Kat" is insane behavior. You're mad because you got called out on and you refused to acknowledge it because you want the moral high ground instead of the nuance that exists in these conversations. Anyways, if you can boycott everything Nestle owns, then limiting your spending on their company can help too. it's good to be you're consuming and who supporting, but at the end of the day boycotting is a privilege and we need to be aware of that.
