1. Your GPA starts IN FIRST YEAR. Your first grade will set the tone for all of your years in uni. It’s also usually the easiest years so MAKE IT COUNT. 2. Go to class. Simply showing up consistently puts you ahead of wayyy more people than you’d think. 3. Study consistently > studying A LOT. Reviewing a little after each class beats cramming the night before. 4. Get to know your professors. IM TELLING YOU- office hours can lead to better grades, advice, and future opportunities!! 5. Stop comparing yourself to others. Focus on building study habits that actually work for YOU. 6. Use a calendar from day one. Add every deadline and exam as soon as you get the syllabus. I used Google Calendar 7. Protect your sleep. A well-rested brain learns faster and performs better than an exhausted one 💤 8. Choose your friends wisely. The people around you will influence your motivation and habits!! 9. Use the resources on campus. Tutoring, writing centres, and career services are there to help you succeed plus you’re paying for them so why not? 10. If you can, DO A SEMESTER ABROAD!! 11. Remember why you’re there. Have fun, make memories, but don’t lose sight of your long-term goals!!
