Hook
One thing I think we don't talk about enough is the second puberty that you go through in your early 20s. And I just went through it. And let me tell you, it's not for the weak. So technically second puberty is like a slang term and it describes the hormone changes you go through in your early 20s. And people call it second puberty because you basically experience a lot of the negative symptoms of puberty a second time. Yeah. Yeah. I had rumors of second puberty. A lot of people say that it changes your body. You might gain weight, you might lose weight, your boobs might get bigger. And look, the puberty fairy kind of skipped out on me in the boob department during my first puberty. So I was really hoping that it was gonna make it up to me this time around. But no, instead I just got adult acne. So lucky. And so blessed. But genuinely, I did not think that this was caused by hormones. I thought that like I was messing up my skin somehow. So like I went a little insane trying to treat my acne. And like some skincare products would improve my acne a little bit, but I would still wake up with new breakouts on my face pretty much every single day until I finally saw a doctor. And they were like, oh yeah, that's definitely caused by second puberty, aka hormone changes. And honestly, that would have saved me a lot of stress if I had known that this kind of like, wasn't anything that I was actually causing. Oh yeah, also half of my hair fell out. So awesome, right? I'm legitimately not trying to fearmonger here. Not everyone goes through like super dramatic changes where they get a bunch of acne and their hair falls out, you know? I was just a bit unlucky with that one. But I do think it's important to know that as women, our bodies are constantly changing. That being said, I ended up watching a lot of videos where people were talking about their experiences going through second puberty. And I saw a lot of people talking about how like their bodies completely changed and it made them a little bit more insecure. And I see a lot of people become kind of like fixated on a body that they had when they were a teenager. And it's kind of unfair for us as adult women to compare ourselves to a teenage body. Things change and that's completely normal. Basically, our bodies are changing is just a part of life, even if the process can kind of suck. But that's just what it's like to be a woman and have hormones. I don't know. Basically, good luck. Okay, bye guys.
