VERY RAW LABOUR & BIRTH VLOG - PART 2 Attempting Unmedicated VBAC 39+5 in Hospital 6:00PM Well into Active Labour / Waiting for my MIL & Doula to arrive / moving through contractions 6:22pm The boys were so empathetic and loving which helped me progress so well in labour 6:45pm contractions are really intense like I can't hold conversation gotten further apart but more intense this is really hard Harry's mom on the way she's gonna come and get the boys 6:57pm My Doula arrives to help me get into established labour before going to hospital 7:22pm Harry's Mum arrives to take the boys 7:42pm Saying goodbye to the boys the fear set in is this the last time they'll see me? Or make a mistake having a VBAC? Would I leave them without a mother? 7:55pm Started getting nervous about the car ride which was my cue to leave 8:22pm Leaving for the hospital, 55 minute drive away Oh my god. Okay we're about to leave for the hospital. This is the longest break I've had in a contraction. TW: Intense & unedited labour pain As scary as this looks, I felt very much in control 99% of the time and it was actually going exactly to plan. Releasing the fear and trusting my body. The car ride was intense but great! I locked in and handled the contractions with such mental focus. But as soon as we got to the hospital things picked up exponentially fast… back to back high intensity contractions. I went into transition and the vibe shifted. But we made it to the hospital so everything was going to be ok I just needed to get into that birthing tub… So grateful for my amazing husband @Harry Bunton - Twin Dad & my sons were like oxytocin on tap.
