Kicking the week off with fresh heatless curls for a back to school series. This series seriously saves us so much time in the mornings. We're starting with a zigzag part and dry hair. Lightly mist the hair with water and then we're using our favorite mousse for frizz control and extra hold. Make sure the hair is detangled and then we're using our favorite no-heat band, Octo Curl in Paisley's Pink. Place the middle strip right along the part line and then clip the opposite side that you're not working on. I like to wrap her little bang section separately for maximum volume. And then for the rest of the strips, we'll use the add-in method. I'm wrapping each strip individually for tighter curls, or you can double the strips up for looser curls. Adding in your hair, twist it towards the face and then away from the face around the strip. This method gives you the maximum definition, allowing for the curls to start right at the root. Once all of the hair has been added in, I like to twist the strip forward to help counteract any unraveling while I wrap the rest of the hair. Once you reach the end, fold the remainder of the strip up and secure with the elastic. Spin to the opposite side and repeat the same steps. Then grab your favorite bonnet to protect your hair while you let the curls set overnight. It's best if you can let the hair go from damp to dry to get a true set for your curls. To avoid any frizz and tangling, just work your way backwards to unwrap the curls. The next step is totally personal preference. You can either just unwrap the curls and leave them as they are or we personally like to go through and separate each of the curls for added fullness. I can't get over how natural these curls look and that they start all the way up at the root and go all the way down. Whenever Paisley wears her hair like this, she always gets asked if her hair are her natural curls, which is the biggest compliment. It's been so fun that we can achieve these gorgeous curls without using any heat damaging her long golden locks. Follow along for more back to school hair.
