Qatar Airways Privilege Club runs on Avios as well. Avios move between all of these programs 1:1, free and instant. So you transfer to British Airways, move the Avios to Qatar, and book Qsuites — through a program Amex doesn't transfer to directly. The bonus takes it to 154,000. That's 46,000 points back in your account on one booking. Two things before you move a single point. Avios now requires your account to be open 30 days before you can move Avios out to another program. Qatar also requires anyone you're booking for to have their own Privilege Club account on your approved traveler list.
