Come with us on Day 1 of our honeymoon in Japan. 🇯🇵 We flew Japan Airlines First Class from New York to Tokyo — full breakdown coming. Landed at 5:30am. Should've been wrecked. Wasn't even close — just happy to be back in Tokyo with the honeymoon finally here. Taxi to Aman Tokyo. Led upstairs to a completely empty lobby, because nobody checks in at 6am. Did the check-in ritual, then they sent us to the spa to shower and freshen up while the room got ready — no questions asked, hours before check-in. Then out to the fish market to meet my sister for the best breakfast imaginable: 🥞 Matcha pancakes 🍣 Tuna from the sushi stall everyone lines up for 🥩 Wagyu sando from Wine Stand 88 🦀 King crab legs 🍓 Strawberry, matcha, and chocolate daifuku to finish Back to the Aman for the pool, then into the room. Every room here is a suite — full hotel and room tour dropping soon. Then the hotel car to Narisawa. Two Michelin stars, a Michelin Green Star, No. 21 in The World's 50 Best Restaurants and the restaurant that topped the very first Asia's 50 Best list in 2013. The Satoyama Scenery course arrives as an edible landscape — hills, trees, moss-covered rocks. We did the full tasting menu with the beverage pairing and I'm still thinking about it two months later. come with us on day one of our honeymoon in Japan we flew first class on Japan Airlines from New York to Tokyo more on that in another video we landed at Tokyo Haneda around 5:30 in the morning but I was super energized and excited to be back in Tokyo and excited that the honeymoon was finally here we then hopped in a taxi and went to the Aman Tokyo we were led upstairs to complete the check in ritual there was no one in the lobby which was awesome we got some hot tea and some towels and checked in but our room was not ready yet so we went to the spa to freshen up took a hot steam a hot bath in the shower and then it was time to hit the streets of Tokyo we met up with my sister at the fish market and then we braced for one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in my life we started with some matcha pancakes which were unbelievable and they were gluten free so cannot recommend this one enough then we went to the world famous tuna stall the tuna at this stall is hyped up for a reason the sushi and the sashimi is some of the best I've ever had in my life absolutely worth going to cannot recommend it enough we'll go back every time I'm in Tokyo then we had these wagyu sandos unbelievable melted in your mouth strong recommendation as well unreal and then we had some king crab legs because obviously you gotta get some king crab legs when you're at the fish market and then we finished with the strawberry and matcha mochi unreal they were all amazing after getting that treat we went back to the Aman hung out by the pool and then our room was finally ready so we checked into our room every room at the Aman Tokyo is a suite I'll do a full tour of the hotel and our room and in a subsequent video after freshening up we hopped into the hotel car and took a ride to Narasawa a two star Michelin and currently ranked the 21st best restaurant in the world we did their tasting menu everything was incredible and we did the beverage pairing as well I'll do a full video on Narasawa in a subsequent video and then we did karaoke and I passed out on the couch stay tuned for more honeymoon content and as always follow for more tips on how to supercharge your points accumulation elevate your travel and let's work smarter not harder
