if you have 44,000 American Express points, you have enough points to fly round trip in economy to Italy or Greece on one of the best airlines on the planet. Let me explain. You can fly nonstop on Emirates from JFK to Milan for 17,500 Emirates miles each + USD 123. So 35,000 round trip. You need 44,000 Amex points to be able to get that because you lose 20% when you transfer from Amex to Emirates. But still, this is one of the best airlines on the planet. A nonstop flight from JFK to Milan could cost over $1,000 round trip. So this is a phenomenal value for your points. And the same concept applies for Greece. Emirates also flies nonstop from New York to Athens. And you could book the same economy flight for the same amount of points. So 35,000 Emirates miles round trip. So 44,000 American Express points. And Emirates is absolutely incredible. And if you have more points, you could try and upgrade from economy to business class on the day of your flight. This is a great way to save hundreds of dollars and thousands of points and get to fly on one of the best business class products in the sky. So cannot recommend Emirates enough. Cannot recommend Greece or Italy enough. Phenomenal use of your points. If you need help finding flights like this, comment consult and I'll send you the link to book me for a consultation.
