I genuinely thought some of these things were just me. Apparently not. Somehow millions of kids who grew up in the ’80s, ’90s and early 2000s all had the exact same weird habits, irrational fears and completely random childhood behaviors… despite never knowing each other. How does that even happen? 🌙 The moon was definitely following us. Every car ride at night ended with us staring out the window, completely convinced the moon had picked us specifically. I don’t care what science says… it really felt personal. 🚗 Car rides were their own little world. We raced raindrops down the window. Pressed our forehead against the cold glass. Made up entire stories in our heads while staring outside. Somehow the drive home was just as entertaining as the destination. 😴 Fake sleeping was an art form. You heard the car pull into the driveway. You closed your eyes. You slowed your breathing. And then waited to be carried inside like royalty. 🌳 We believed absolutely everything. Swallow a seed? Congratulations… a tree is growing in your stomach. Swallow gum? See you again in seven years. Kids accepted some absolutely wild information without asking a single follow-up question. 🕷️ Every swimming pool had a Spider-Man phase. At some point every kid convinced themselves they could climb the wall, stick to the side of the pool or unlock secret superpowers if they just tried hard enough. 👻 Turning off the basement light became a life-or-death sprint. The second that switch flipped… RUN. Because whatever lived down there was definitely about to grab your ankle. 🧲 We refused to let magnets win. Even after learning that two identical poles wouldn’t stick together… We still spent five straight minutes trying to force them anyway. Maybe this time physics would change its mind. 🖊️ Every click pen eventually became a science experiment. Take it apart. Lose the spring. Try putting it back together. Wonder why it never worked again. 💡 We all investigated the refrigerator light. There had to be a way to know if it actually turned off when the door closed. This was serious research. 🍴 Mac & cheese wasn’t just food. You had to get as many noodles on one fork as humanly possible. That was simply the correct way to eat it. 🚪 Someone knocked? Everybody… Don’t move. If we all stay quiet maybe they’ll think nobody’s home. 😂 We did weird things for absolutely no reason. Whether it was putting random objects on our face, pretending to drown, climbing furniture like it was Mount Everest or inventing games that made absolutely no sense… Being a kid meant entertaining yourself with literally anything. And somehow… every other kid was doing the exact same thing. Maybe childhood wasn’t as unique as we thought. Maybe we all lived the exact same one. What was the ONE weird thing you were convinced only YOU did as a kid? #90sKids #Millennial #ChildhoodMemories #Nostalgia #Childhood
