From Arnold: I used to think growing up meant leaving childhood behind. Turns out, some of it comes back. Not exactly the same way. You don’t get the endless Saturdays back. The neighborhood feels smaller. You start understanding why the adults were always tired. But then you see a kid completely lose their mind over a cartoon they’ve watched 14 times. You answer a question that makes absolutely no sense. You watch them turn the living room floor into an entire world. And for a second, you remember. How big everything used to feel. How easy it was to get excited. How little it took to make a regular day feel like an adventure. I spent a long time missing that kid. Now I get to meet him again every once in a while.
