Never, ever start a business before you understand these five things. Number one, R O I. Number two, Cash flow. Profit on paper doesn't matter if cash isn't coming in. A business can look successful on a spreadsheet and still die from no cash. If money isn't moving, neither is your business. No.3. C a C. And L T V. Customer acquisition cost and lifetime value. C a C. Is what it costs you to get a customer. L T V. Is how much that customer pays you over time. If C a C. Is higher than L T V, you're losing money quietly on every single sale. If L T V. Is higher than C a C, you're building something real. No. 4. Know your break even point. How many sales do you need to cover every expense? Rent, tools, software, marketing, and your own time. If you don't know that number, you don't know when you're safe, and you don't know when you're actually growing. Number five. The cost of your own time. If you work 40 hours to make $200, that's not a business, that's a prison. You built yourself a real business. Scales money, not effort. Here's the thing most people miss. Businesses don't fail because people lack passion. They fail because people never learn the numbers. Send this to Someone who needs to hear it.
