The only indoor, high skill cycling facility in South Africa, with a track that can host international events, is to be closed due to a stupid political decision. As part of the Velodrome redevelopment “project” there is 50/60 year lease given to the developer who will privatise it and turn it into a concert and events venue. Meanwhile the DA is simultaneously selling off the Good Hope Centre which is a concert and events centre! #Cycling #Sports #CapeTown #FYP #ForSale.
