When it feels big, scary, and completely out of your control, you still have a choice. You can let your brain run the worst-case scenario on a loop. Or you can ask a better question: What if it all works out? Then use the bigger parts of your brain to work the problem, imagine you’ve already overcome it, and reverse-engineer the steps that get you there without wrecking yourself in the process. That’s self-brain surgery. And it's strait from scriptures like Matthew 6:34 and II Corinthians 10:5. You don’t have to live in fear. You don’t have to let your brain boss you around. Change the outlook and you’ll change the outcome (or at least feel a whole lot better while you’re in it). Follow me for daily neuroscience and scripture connections to transform you. Share with a friend who could use a fresh perspective, and save this for when you need a reminder too. Check out my book at the link in my bio to learn more about self-brain surgery.
