As they say bigger isn't always better. I don't know, because these Terafab renderings are them saying I could care less. They're going big. Bigger than Giga Texas, bigger than the Pentagon, bigger than Apple Park, bigger than the Mall of America. Actually bigger than all of those combined. I mean, we're going out of buildings at this point because Musk, this is gonna be the size of over 100 million square feet under one roof. You'll be able to fit like 10 Giga Texases inside of this one. It's taking place in Grimes County, Texas. Coincidence? So they're gonna need a cool $16.8 billion just for phase one. And then up to 119 billion when it's all set. Because the goal is about 1 terawatt of compute per year, which by the way is roughly double what the entire US produces today. And they're going to be building two chip families. The first is for Tesla, full self-driving, Cybercab, Optimus. And the other one's radiation-hardened, data centers in space, of course. And Musk says the current global chip production only is about 3% of what they're gonna need. Okay, but now they have a sense of the size and scale. It almost seems like the building is the easy part. Because what about the power? Natural gas plants and battery arrays on site. And remember, Texas just halted datacenter production for this very reason. What about the water? Because fabs are thirsty. They've committed to reservoirs instead of local groundwater, which is obviously a deliberate choice given how loud the fight over water has been in Texas. What about the people? You're gonna need tens of thousands of semiconductor workers here. Grimes Texas has like 30,000 people in total. And I'm gonna make a wild guess that most of them are not lithography engineers. What about the equipment? ASML makes the lithography machines. The only company on Earth. And there's a line to wait. Bigger than the Burj Khalifa, deeper than the Grand Canyon. Okay, I'll stop. Because these projects are genuinely starting to look like alien mass drivers on the moon. The Starship pad, like a Dune prop. And now this.
