Did anyone else Raekwon from Wu-Tang just the Palantir office just casual like he was strolling backstage or like rolling loud or something? I saw that. Look into like, why is he there? What I found was like a trail of clues going back like 16 years. Now we just find out that cash rules everything around me wasn't social commentary. Taking cap table positions and unicorn startups because check out these timestamps. It's August 2010. Palantir tweets, thanks for the visit, Wu-Tang Clan! RT @Raekwon: Jus got to Palantir Technologies headquarters. If u don't know bout them, Google them! And they're quoting Raekwon who said, just got to Palantir Technologies headquarters. And if you don't know about them, Google them. That in 2010, Palantir's a 7-year-old company. They're still private and almost nobody outside of like government actually know who they are. And then 2 months later, their track jacket shows up in a Wiz Khalifa video on Raekwon. We find out that Raekwon's been sitting in a Palantir position for over a decade. To be honest, I couldn't really find a single source that confirms the visit was real. It's real. The track jacket's real. The investment, it's a rumor, but it does have all this circumstantial evidence to back it. This is classic Wu-Tang Clan Shaolin deception. But here's actually also what really got me. Because I really assumed that like artists getting into tech really only started with like Nas, Chamillionaire, and the homie Chamillionaire. MC Hammer's been doing it since the 90s. That was way before people even started writing about it. I mean, I'll also be even honest about my own blind spot. When I was investing with the Linkin Park guys in 2015, we thought we were just catching a wave when it was, come to find out, we were already like 15 years late. Of matters, I'm sure Raekwon caught a ton of heat in that building. But the truth is that the most street credentialed artist in history was sitting inside of a massive tech company. Held stock in it. That's massive signal because I'm sure he'd tell you, learn the game, diversify, get in early on something.
