Most women train back in a random order and wonder why their posture never changes and the burn never lands where it should. Order matters because the exercise you do first gets the most effort while you are fresh. Put your biggest pull first, then row, then finish with the small stuff. Here is the sequence that actually builds a toned, upright back: 1. Lat pulldown — 3 sets of 8. This is your widest, heaviest pull. Doing it first means real load on the lats before fatigue sets in. 2. Seated row — 3 sets of 10. Mid-back thickness and the muscles that pull your shoulders back. Slightly higher reps, controlled tempo, squeeze at the end. 3. Rear shoulder flys — 3 sets of 15, light. This is the posture one. Small muscles, high reps, and the reason your shoulders stop rounding forward. Skip it and you leave the posture benefit on the table. Notice the reps climb as the muscles get smaller. That is not random. Big compound pulls belong in a low-rep, heavy range. Small stabilizers respond to lighter weight and more volume. This is the kind of sequencing a proper workout plan handles for you instead of guessing at the rack.
