Five years in corporate, small office to a high rise, and the #1 office fragrance is NOT Bleu de Chanel. It never lasted past lunch on me. Same story with Creed Aventus and Aventus Cologne — the Cologne got more compliments, but it was done by lunchtime and I wouldn't waste that money on a desk day anyway. Loewe Esencia Elixir is basically Aventus DNA done better, but it's too much for an office. PDM Percival is incredible and I haven't found a dupe of it — just priced off the list. Terre d'Hermès is a 7/10 for me, still the best beginner pick around $150. The real sleeper is Hermès Eau de Citron Noir — an eau de cologne that somehow lasts all day for about $120. But the king is Prada Luna Rossa Ocean Le Parfum: clean, soapy, woody saffron, completely inoffensive, and it got me more compliments in four months than everything else combined.
