Beachgoers scramble for cover as a waterspout suddenly moves ashore at Folly Beach, South Carolina, turning into a tornado and sending surfboards and debris flying. Video from a surf competition captures the swirling funnel crossing the beach as tents and boards are ripped through the air. The National Weather Service confirms the tornado reached EF-0 strength, with estimated peak winds of 55 mph. Forecasters say the waterspout churned over the ocean for about 10 minutes before making landfall.
