A lot of people are getting this wrong. You CAN have your fibre. But just because you eat a glass of chia seeds every single day does not automatically mean you’re going to start losing body fat. Chia seeds can help with satiety, meaning they can help you feel fuller for longer — especially in the morning — which may make it easier for you to manage your overall food intake. But let’s be clear: the key to losing body fat is being in a calorie deficit. For me personally, I’ve struggled with my gut health for the longest time. I used to feel very inflamed, bloated and puffy, mainly because I didn’t understand how to properly support my gut. I started incorporating chia seeds into my daily routine as part of my ongoing gut-health journey, and they’ve made a noticeable difference for me. So no, chia seeds aren’t a magic fat-loss food. They’re simply one tool that has helped me with satiety, fibre intake and my overall gut-health routine. It’s about understanding WHY you’re eating something instead of just following every fitness trend you see online. 🤍
