Compass

Why it worked

The video leverages a popular 'aesthetic' trend to provide actionable social media advice, effectively positioning the creator as a high-status authority while subtly promoting their AI tool through the account branding.

Summary

The creator provides tips on how to curate a professional and aesthetic travel feed on social media. The video uses the creator's own AI tool brand account to establish authority and drive traffic to their bio link.

Structure

1Define the travel larp aesthetic
2Tips for food and beach photography
3Advice on showing activity and productivity
4Tips for airport and travel luxury shots
5Final advice on maintaining an effortless feed

Product placement

Compass (a) It ACTS: the creator's handle is @getcompassapp and the bio describes it as an AI buddy with access to 30+ models. While the video content is about travel, the creator is using their own product's account to build brand awareness and authority in the AI space. Removing the handle and bio would change the context of the creator's authority. Kate Spade (b) It merely APPEARS: a passport cover with the logo is visible. Removing it would not change the video.

Transcript

The art of the travel larp. You go to a sick restaurant, you take a picture of one plate, and you don't tag the restaurant at all. You go to the beach and show off your physique, but it's not in every post. Don't force it. You gotta post yourself doing things, running, trading, fighting, earning social credit just by doing it. In the airport on your laptop, looking like you're building something but you never really reveal it, keeping people curious. Strolling through the airport, eating at the business lounge, and traveling in a lay-flat seat. Make it look easy and effortless, like this is an everyday occurrence for you. Clean, aesthetic shots that look professional. Master the art of an aesthetic feed. Everything's intentional, but it doesn't look like you tried too hard.
