The vast majority of people that claim to be solo travellers are actually women. So if you're a woman watching this and you plan to solo travel soon, here's some advice to keep yourself safe. Keep your trip private (let family and close friends— trusted people know). Keep your trip private as private as you can. Do not tell strangers where you're going next. Any stranger you introduce yourself to. Don't even tell them your hotel number and especially do not tell them that you're traveling alone. The only people that should know exactly where you are or where you're going is someone that you trust. If you are an influencer or somebody who does social media, talking about solo traveling or broadcasting it on the internet. Do not do it in real time. Do it weeks after or two weeks after even. Plan in advance. Yes, you should record your trip. Yes, you should share it at some point. But don't share it in stories in real time. Or you can kind of, but at a risk. For single women: lie about having a boyfriend: (Optional) have a fake engagement ring (especially if you're single). Take it with you everywhere you go, especially if you're traveling alone. That way, anybody who approaches you, any unknown stranger, a creepy guy, a suspicious lady being overly kind to you. Let them know that you have a boyfriend, even if you're single. That your husband is waiting in your room. Always let them know that there's over a masculine figure of some sort or somebody who they know for a fact will protect you is nearby. Even if they're not. In such cases, you must master the art of lying. Lying to protect yourself above all. So those were some tips if you ever plan to solo trip as a woman or if you currently are.
