HIANESE RICE INSPIRED ONE POT CHICKEN + RICE 🍚🫚 I know this doesn’t look much, but the flavour in this dish is honestly insane. High in protein and super quick and easy to make. Not traditional, just my take on the recipe using the flavours of Hianese chicken and rice🤤🤤 Ingredients: 3-4 chicken thighs 4 spring onions (save the greener bits at the end) 1cm piece ginger (finely chopped) 4 cloves garlic 450ml chicken stock (I use @boroughbroth ALWAYS) 1tbsp soy sauce salt and pepper 150g white rice Pinch turmeric For the garlic spring onion and chilli oil: 1 red chilli 2 cloves garlic Remaining spring onions 2tbso HOT olive oil 50ml chicken stock Splash soy sauce Method: Pat dry the chicken thighs and season well, add to a hot pan with a little oil, skin side down. Leave for 4-5 mins until golden. Remove from the pan. Using the same pan, add the ginger, garlic and spring onion to the chicken fat/oil and cook until fragrant. Add well rinsed rice and toast for 2 mins in the spices, then add the chicken stock, return the chicken to the pan, cover and cook for 12 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked. Season to taste using light soy sauce. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a dish, you can either add hot oil to the ingredients or pop all the ingredients in a pan with some oil. Only add the chicken stock once the oil has cooked everything. Serve over the rice with a drizzle of the sauce and enjoy! #healthyrecipes #highprotein #EasyRecipes #chickenrecipe #chickenandrice
