So I'm flying to Tokyo this morning

So I'm flying to Tokyo this morning and I'm on an absolute mission to get an upgrade on this flight. If you know me you know that there are quite literally few things in life that I love more than flying. And the idea of being able to fly business on a 14 hour flight, especially with Japan Airlines is the best possible way I could spend 14 hours of my life. The last time I flew to Japan I actually was given a bid upgrade option and I did the absolute minimum and I was able to win business class. But I didn't get that bid option this time. So we are gonna try absolutely all means necessary to see if I can get an upgrade. Apparently way No 1 is just to turn up really early, check in and straight out ask if there's an upgrade available. So it's three hours before we fly. I wanted to ask about whether there's any availability to upgrade on the flight. Uh Japan Airlines. Thank you Hiya. Um I just wanted to ask. I was just sent over by the other woman if there's any availability to upgrade on this flight. Which airline? Uh Japan Airlines. So upgrade to where? To business class. Business class. Business class. You have a mileage? Uh no. So if this business cost it would be around £3,000 £3,000. Yes. £3,000. Okay. And is that a set amount? Yeah. Okay. Depends on your ticket maybe even more. Okay Then that's not a viable option. 3,000 pounds. 3,000 pounds. I refuse to lose hope. So we are gonna try various other means. I'm gonna try again at the gate. And I am also gonna get some chocolates for the flight staff which I've done before. And even if it doesn't result in an upgrade, it quite often just result in some very nice treatment from the flight staff. Which in my opinion is always worth it. Okay Mini Toblerone mix. I feel like it's a good shout. Mini Terry's chocolate oranges. Yeah. Okay. I'll get these two. gate has been announced and we are bee lining it over to go and ask if there's any upgrades available. Hiya. just wondering if there are any upgrades available. Okay Is normally uh equals around two or three thousand pounds. Okay Okay. Yeah Okay. Depends on your ticket maybe even more. Final chance we got our chocolates to give to the flight staff. They were so so sweet about the chocolates. Honestly that made my day more than any upgrade Ever would. they were so excited and so kind to me about it. And they took my seat number. Now I know it Is incredibly unlikely that it will result in an upgrade but it could result in some extra sweet treats or just even a friendly face to see on this flight.
