It starts at the check-in counter, where they don't check you in. They walk you to the JAL First Class Entrance, a private facility where someone handles every piece of the logistics while you sit. Then straight into a priority security checkpoint attached to the room. Next, the JAL First Class Lounge in Terminal 3. Sushi made to order, a full à la carte menu you order from your phone, John Lobb shoe shine. Upstairs is the Salon, a quiet room most people walk right past, where they hand roast your coffee. Then the main attraction. Only 6 suites on the A350-1000, laid out 1-1-1 across two rows. Nobody sits beside you. Inside the suite: ✅ 48 inches wide, floor to ceiling walls over 5 feet high, sliding door you close once you're airborne ✅ A 43-inch 4K screen, among the largest in the sky, run off a detachable tablet ✅ Speakers in the headrest nobody outside the suite can hear, plus Bang & Olufsen headphones ✅ Personal wardrobe, minibar, wireless charging, and storage under the ottoman that swallows a carry-on. No overhead bins in this cabin ✅ The side seat folds flat and the ottoman seats guests, so it fits three people ✅ Airweave mattress, your choice of soft or firm, and a bed that stretches nearly 7 feet ✅ Tail camera on that screen at takeoff is worth the seat by itself The food separates it from everything else. Two complete menus, Japanese and Western, à la carte for the entire 12 hour 40 minute flight, served whenever you ask. Work through the Japanese menu course by course, sleep, then order off the Western one. They pour Salon, a champagne north of $1,000 a bottle. Cash price: over $16,000.
