for this video i just wanna talk about the details of the proposal

that had my jaw on the floor
first of all, he came up with this elaborate plan
with my dream photographer and videographer
came up with this elaborate photoshoot
and somehow made it seem like it was my idea

and he flew them out because they're not from new york
it's crazy because i think i told him that this was my dream photographer one time

the next thing is that he was very intentional with the date he chose
august 8th, 8/8
he said it was partially because 8 is his lucky number
and also, when you flip an 8 sideways,
it makes the infinity sign
and jonah's whole thing is forever and always
we always say that to each other,
so 8 is also like forever and always
speaking of forever and always,
he also got the inside of my ring engraved with forever and always
and the proposal box had forever and always written on top
another super sweet thing is that he talked to my dad beforehand,
because my parents are very traditional,
and so i think he knew my dad would really appreciate that
of course my dad was gonna say yes
back to the actual proposal
he rented out the castle.
rented it out to make sure that nobody was like,
walking around and nobody was gonna be in the photos
he visited the venue multiple times
to figure out where he wanted to do everything
mind you, i had no idea any of this was going on
where was i on these days?
what was i doing when he went to get the ring two hours away?
literally all went right over my head
he also planned out which side he was gonna stand on
and what side i was gonna stand on
he knows that this is my good side,
and so he wanted my good side to be facing the camera
he thought of everything
and now we have the surprise engagement party
he planned this party with 50 people
50 people who had known for months
everybody kept it a secret
he put so much thought into the guest list
i have family in canada who i'm very close with
he made sure they were there
not only did he fly them out,
but he made sure that they were staying nearby
so that i could spend time with them
after the engagement, we got to spend three days together
he invited like 90% of people from my side
like, usually the engagement party is for both of you,
but it was majority of my friends and family
he really was just thinking about me the entire time
and this one really got me
this one little detail
one time we were on a walk,
and i told him that hydrangeas are my favorite flower
he made sure that the center pieces on the table had hydrangeas
and not just hydrangeas
he made it white and pink because those are my favorite colors
these are things that i would not even think of myself
i cried so much when i found out all these details
i still cannot stop talking about it
and the fact that he did all of that planning,
coordinated with 50+ people
i don't know how he did it
i missed a very important detail
he made sure that the engagement party was at the restaurant we had our first date
seriously, joe deserves his flowers. he did good
i mean, clearly
