Holy crap Peter, I just changed one setting inside Task Manager and my game went from stuttering and dropping frames every 30 seconds to running smoother than it ever has. And it took me exactly 10 seconds because Windows has starved your game of CPU power by treating it the same priority as every random background app since day one. And every American gamer is suffering because of it right now. Your browser, your Discord, your background updaters, all fighting your game for CPU power every single second you play. And Windows just lets it happen. I'm gonna force Windows to put my game first. Open your game first. Then press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager. Task Manager is open. What do I do next? Click the details tab. Find your game's .exe in the list. Right-click it. Select set priority. Select above normal. Why above normal and not high? Setting priority to high can actually crash your entire PC. Above normal gives your game maximum CPU priority safely without risking anything. My game is already smoother and the stuttering is completely gone in 10 seconds because your CPU is finally first instead of wasting power on background junk.
