The other day I recorded making breakfast for my son & his girlfriend. And someone asked why she's always over at our house. And they said that can't be healthy. I mean if you must know, she wasn't at our house, which is why I packed her breakfast to go. I gave it to her at school. And I'm just really confused why you'd care so much. They are teenagers who were just on summer break. So of course they hung out a lot. I actually paid her to get my little one swim lessons all summer. So yeah, she was over more than usual. And plus she just really loves to be around us. As y'all can see, I take care of her like my own. The other day I was out shopping and she texted us she saw me. So I asked her if she wanted to meet us for Boba and she showed up without my son because he was at football. Practice. So I decided to go with breakfast burritos today. We grabbed some taco shop and then she headed to her friend's house. I think it's fair to say that we are a safe space for her. Not that she needed one, but it makes me feel good that she feels welcome. Also, I was in the trouble team looking for love in all the wrong places. And I ended up pregnant at 15. So I know what you're trying to say. But just please remember, you don't know what's going on in everyone's home. I grew up being abused and I didn't have very many safe places to go. So I'm creating that space. Even if everyone doesn't need it. Anyways, here's my son and his girlfriend's breakfast. I decided to go with breakfast burritos today.
