Every bit of speed you build during a lap can be saved or lost at the wall. And most swimmers lose it. 👉 Here's how to keep it. 1️⃣ Get your feet to the wall fast. The moment you touch the wall, your feet need to move forward as quickly as possible. Your upper body moves in the opposite direction at the same time. Use that as leverage to bring your feet in faster. 2️⃣ Control your arms. 🔵 One arm goes under the water close to your body, like you're taking off a t-shirt. Keep it tight. A straight arm creates resistance and slows you down right when you need speed most. ✅ The other arm swings above the water. No resistance. Clean and fast. 3️⃣ Take a breath. 🔵 This is the one advantage the open turn has over a flip turn. Use it every single time. 4️⃣ Streamline before you push off. 🔴 This is the most important one. If you push off without a proper streamline, your head and shoulders create so much resistance that all your speed disappears instantly. ✅ Hide your head under your arms. Streamline. Push off. Glide. 🎯 If you want to see exactly how your turn looks and what it's costing you, film yourself and send it inside the Swim Success Training app. I'll personally review it and tell you exactly what to fix first.
